Activity III

I am taking over the Science Olympiad team for my school and have set up a blog...it will take a while to get it up and running but here's a bare-bones beginning! http://parkviewso.blogspot.com/ Sue C.

My site is in the development stage: http://mynewinterests.blogspot.com Maria
Isn't Maria on Team C?

Ok, this is all I have so far. Where do I go from here? http://webtech20resources.blogspot.com/ (at least I found the one I started days ago) I want to make one to be used as a resource for our staff, so they can access links for ideas to use with smartboards, etc. I'd appreciate any and all suggestions to get me going. Thanks, Sharon

Being an introvert at heart, I spend a lot of time processing internally before I jump in and share something externally, so at long last, I have started a blog http://stelle-mysummerreading.blogspot.com . I chose reading as my topic because I like to find a way for my students to use blogging instead of the usual 'reading log' of the past. (Rebecca)

Beyond Wikis and Blogs

Check out voicethread http://voicethread.com/#home.
A VoiceThread is a collaborative, multimedia slide show that holds images, documents, and videos and allows people to navigate pages and leave comments in 5 ways - using voice (with a mic or telephone), text, audio file, or video (via a webcam). Share a VoiceThread with friends, students, and colleagues for them to record comments too. It looks to me like there is a lot of potential use for this in a k-8 or even high school class. Here's an example I found from a 5th grade class. http://voicethread.com/#q.b8752.i68307 I like this resource.

http://delicious.com/help/learn Delicious keeps all your bookmarks in one place so you will never lose track of your bookmarks again. Since we store your bookmarks online, you can get to them from any computer, whether you're at home, at work or on the road. Delicious is a Social Bookmarking service, which means you can save all your bookmarks online, share them with other people, and see what other people are bookmarking. We have a delicious account for our tech department so we can all share and access great web sites.

Mixbook is another way to use collaborative technology. http://www.mixbook.com/about-mixbook Using our collaboration technology, events can now be captured from different points of view in a single book. Mixbook for Educators,is a program that allows educators even easier access to the most powerful suite of digital storytelling tools on the web.
